I use a google talk --> friendfeed stream that has a badge on my blogger blog for link storage, bookmarking songs on pandora, and sharing stuff that is unexpectedly from me - stuff that has nothing to do with my interests, which is what people on twitter would want to see from me. Therefore twitter --> facebook which gets updates about me, links that have to do with my interest, retweets from people I follow etc. And facebook gets the same, but sometimes I post directly to facebook for personal photos, videos and other stuff that I only want friends to see.

And then every once in a while I update my status on linkedin if I do something careerworthy or write a post on a real news site.

This is a fun talk. I'd recommend Ivan Illich's book Deschooling Society.

It's a late 60s or early 70s work that takes a provocative and well thought position on moving education out of the schools and into daily life.

Definitely worth checking out.

that used to happen in my place all of the time.
i finally had a fit one day and essentially yelled at the landlord abt. it.
he has since almost always posted a letter in the building before doing any work on the pipes, etc.
